2. Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
That moment when you’re watching porn and you’re so close to orgasming but are holding off because there may be a better scene coming up. Yup. That.
3. Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
Right now I am writing THE COLLAR OF SACRIFICE, hopefully to be finished and published by early December 2014. I have also started a new novel and preliminary reports say that it’s sizzling!
4. Is there a song you could list as the theme song for your book?
Lucky Ones by Lana Del Ray. I was listening to that song on repeat during my writing and I took all the emotions from it. Listen to it while reading and you will see what I’m talking about.
5. Hidden talent?
I am almost certain I have a superpower but I’m not sure what it is yet. Maybe because of my sixth sense, distracting me with signs all the time. : )
6. You have won one million dollars what is the first thing that you would buy?
That’s easy. One bright orange Lamborghini, and I will call it, Honeydew.
No, seriously, I will.
7. What do you do in your free time?
Free time? I’m a mom, a wife, a writer, a PhD student, a full time indie publishing agent…hmm, have I forgotten something? I’m sure I have. Anyway…what was the question?
8. How did you come up with the title of your book?
Originally, when THE COLLAR OF FREEDOM was a fifty shades fanfic, it was called Judgement. Why? Because the book is about Amelia’s sacrament. She is judging her own actions all the time, without realizing what’s happening around her. But one way or another, her life turns out sour and she would have definitely suffered more if she didn’t have Alexander to lean on. So back to the title, why this particular one? Amelia thinks she could be a sub, hence, the term collar, but she becomes free with Alexander’s help. So, THE COLLAR OF FREEDOM was born.
9. How did you celebrate the sale of your first book?
Naturally, with a bottle of champagne and a new pair of heels, daaarling!
10. In your wildest dreams, which author would you love to co-author a book with?
It would have to be an actor, rather than an author. And it’s Bruce Willis. I’m an action movie girl and that man has stolen my heart for a long time now. I want to write with him to make sure my heart is where it belongs. With him, closer than ever possible. lol
11. What is your favorite scene in the book and why do you love it?
My favorite scene? That’s a difficult question.
Not because I really love my book (which I do), but because THE COLLAR OF FREEDOM is like a reference book, you go to re read parts to remember what it was like feeling certain things. So I do go back and do remember. And…mmm..it’s amazing.
As for my favorite part? This one:
The lights come on and …Oh my fucking god! My high immediately changes; from being totally dazed into getting my fuck to this, a different type of fuck, my personal porn.
There, in front of me is a bright orange Lamborghini. A Lamborghini! I am speechless. I feel his eyes on me, observing my reaction.
“I thought you might want this, too.”
“I do.” I can’t say much more than that. I let go of his hand and walk around it, my hand sliding along the top rim, slightly touching it. I imagine driving it; this is amazing, it completely meshes up my senses of high.
“Amelia, meet my Honeydew.”
“Honeydew…” I whisper, creating our bond. “I didn’t know you name your cars?” I look at him, talking quietly, still holding my sweet Honeydew.
“I don’t. I decided to give it a name just so you can get to know it. I know your obsession with cars. Each one has to have a name. Well, this here is my Honeydew.” He smirks. “It reminds me of you, on all fours, kneeling down for me, ready to take me anywhere I please.”
He talks slowly, relishing each word, trying to get me high, not knowing I already am. By now I have made a full circle around the car and I am standing in front of it, looking at the Honeydew head on with him behind me.
“Amelia, why don’t you take off your clothes and bend down on the hood for me.”
According to Nietzsche, the best author will be the one who is ashamed to become a writer. Hmmm....Times have certainly changed since then. Shame? What shame?
Alexandra, a singing and dancing force not to be reckoned with, especially when she holds a microphone, is someone who imagined her life will be just like in the film 'Grease'. So she found her 'Danny', married him and right at this moment she is annoyed his car doesn't fly.
When she isn't glued to her trusty laptop creating magic, Alexandra prowls the pits of twitter ... find her there if you dare.
