Moth Book Tour & Giveaway
Moth
Social worker Max Hollingsworth is no stranger to monsters. Supernatural or human, he's faced all kinds. But when he's called upon to investigate a missing child, he may have met his match. Children are vanishing, not just from the streets, but from their parents' memories. Max's investigation leads him to a gang of neo-Nazi vampires running a child slavery ring. There, he comes face to face with the deadliest enemy he's ever met, their charismatic and powerful leader Boone. Running low on hope and options to find the missing children, Max turns to his friends for help. But even they aren't enough. Forced to face the darkness of his own past, Max forges an alliance with the least likely ally of all. An enemy whose cruelty was almost his end, and haunts him still. Rated 18+ for language, violence and sexual content.

Sean T. Poindexter
Though born in Mesa, Arizona, Sean has spent most of his life in Missouri. After college, Sean went into social and investigative work, primarily with disabled adults and seniors. Sean’s background in sociology, criminology, and philosophy and his experience as an investigator for the State of Missouri, are heavy influences in his writing. While Sean has been writing most of his life, he did not consider doing so professionally until he was inspired by a terrible vampire movie. During the film, Sean amused himself by imagining the vampires being attacked by a dragon. His imagination resulted in his series, The Dragon’s Blood Chronicles, featuring dragons and vampires. Sean enjoys watching and reading science fiction, fantasy, horror, and thrillers. His hobbies include playing Xbox, fantasy role playing games and collecting firearms. Moth is Book 1 of The Max Hollingsworth Paranormal Mysteries. Sean's other books include The Shadow of Tiamet and The Will of the Darkest One, both from The Dragon’s Blood Chronicles.

PLAYLIST:
Red - by Combichrist
This seems to be the perfect theme song for the entire book.
The opening line "Nothing ever
happens in this dirty hick town..." describes the attitude a lot of
people have about Joplin, the setting of the book.
Nemesis - by VNV Nation
I'm a big fan of VNV Nation, and this is one of my favorite
songs by them. Max is a lot like a holy avenger, though he'd never approve of
that description, and this song's theme of retribution for those who can't
defend themselves resonates well with the book.
Coma Black - by
Marilyn Manson
This song always seemed to be about someone who was beyond
help. It reminds me of one of the sub-plots in Moth concerning a teenage girl who was impregnated by her
step-father. Max tries to help her but the step-father's power over her is too
great.
Earth Died Screaming -
by Tom Waits
I've always felt this was a song about someone who was
pushed to the edge until they felt like burning the entire world. There is a
point in Moth where Max reaches this.
Fortunately, he manages to channel it in a positive direction instead of, you
know, killing the entire Earth.
Gothic Girl - by
The 69 Eyes
No mystery here who this is about: Max's girlfriend Sadie.
Parasitic - by
Psyclon Nine
There is a character in the book, Grendel, who is talked
about but isn't actually seen until much later. It's quite obvious that he's
insane, violently so. This song reminds me of the sheer, blinding rage that
drives him, and conveys the menace he embodies towards the other characters in
the book.
Shatter - by
Triptykon
This is a very dark song, so it fits with a very dark book
like Moth. What Max does isn't pretty
and even when he comes out on top, the end result isn't exactly warm and fuzzy.
This song captures some of the darkness Max goes through in the book.
Darkside - by
Gothminster
I picture this as a good song for Boone. He's a sadist and a
bully, but he's cautious and thoughtful as well. That makes him more dangerous.
This strikes me as a song about someone forcing their darkness on others. Boone,
being the main antagonist of the story, controls most of the darkness.
Ground - by
Assemblage 23
This is a song about the support we get from those we love.
It reminds me of Sadie's role in Max's life and how essential she is to keeping
him grounded and whole.
